Task 3 format

Situational tasks of the preliminary stage

In each task, the situation is first described, then judgments are given for evaluation. It is important to read the entire condition and check each statement separately.

A short task helps you understand the mechanics of the answer and see an example of analysis before moving on to the full training.

How a situational task works

The official description of FMZA uses the wording “situational judgment tasks.” Simply put, this is a task with a description of the situation and statements that need to be evaluated. The condition may contain details without which the statement seems true, but is not suitable for the specific task.

Description of the situation Judgments for evaluation Check and analysis
01

Description of the situation

Clinical, organizational or regulatory context of the task.

02

Judgments for evaluation

One or more statements that need to be tested against a condition.

03

Check and analysis

After the answer, it is shown why each judgment is suitable or not suitable.

How does a situational task differ from a regular test?

It is important to understand the situation first, and only then evaluate the response options.

Facts Who is involved, what happened and what data is important.
Question What exactly needs to be determined: action, conclusion or evaluation of judgments.
Restrictions Which words in the condition change the correctness of the answer.

In a regular test, a question can often be broken down by one fact. In the situational format, a context appears before the answer: a participant, an action, a condition, a constraint, or a normative situation.

Because of this, you cannot read the options separately from the condition. One judgment may seem correct in general terms, but may not apply to a specific situation. Another can be true only under the condition that is expressly stated in the text.

Do not confuse this format with profile situational tasks for the main stages of accreditation. Here we are talking about setting the preliminary stage FMZA: you need to read the situation and choose one or more correct judgments.

Demo task

Example of a situational task

Analyze a short situation from the preparatory course, evaluate each judgment and check the solution with the explanation and source.

Demo option Task 1 of 5
Situational task Evaluate each judgment and choose all the correct ones.
Situation

The patient is offered a planned intervention. The doctor briefly says, “Sign the consent, this is a formality,” without explaining the risks, options, or expected outcome.

Which judgments about the situation are correct?

This is a short demo of the interface. In the full course, all training assignments, workouts and results history are available.

How not to get lost in the condition

Situational tasks are usually longer than a regular test. Before choosing an answer, it is useful to divide the condition into facts, required action, and restrictions.

Facts of the situation What does the task ask? Checking Every Judgment
01

Facts of the situation

Who is involved, in what order events happen, and what data really matters.

02

What does the task ask?

Choose an action, evaluate a judgment, or determine the correct sequence.

03

Checking Every Judgment

Even if one statement is true, the others cannot be marked automatically.

Frequently asked questions

No. Here we are talking about the format of the preliminary stage. Profile situational tasks remain a separate section for the next stages of accreditation.

The condition may be longer, and there may be one or more correct judgments. The mistake often arises not in knowledge of the topic, but in inattentive reading of the situation.

Based on open materials as of the date of reconciliation, this format is described. Check with official sources for the latest requirements before attempting.

The examination simulator DPO APS is compiled on the topics of official examples of the preliminary stage FMZA and recommended FMZA normative sources. Questions and answer options are used as independent learning material: this is not a download or a copy of the Unified Database of Assessment Tools FMZA.

No, an exact match is not guaranteed. FMZA generates an individual option automatically from the Unified Assessment Tools Database, so the task of the simulator is to practice the topics, format and logic of the answer, and not to promise specific questions on a real attempt.

No. DPO APS prepares independent study materials using the published FMZA format. You should check the current rules and dates on the official website FMZA.
